Kia recently announced the pricing for the 2025 Carnival, revealing that the base price has increased by $2900 to $37,895. The new Carnival Hybrid, which starts at $41,895, offers a more eco-friendly option with a hybrid powertrain available on every trim except the base LX, for an additional $2000. This hybrid powertrain combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to deliver 242 total horsepower.
In addition to the new hybrid powertrain, Kia has given the Carnival a stylish makeover for 2025, featuring a larger grille, revised LED headlights, and taillights. The LX trim remains the most affordable option at $37,895, while the LXS trim offers more features and the option for eight-passenger seating with a starting price of $39,895. The LXS is also the most affordable way to get the hybrid powertrain, starting at $41,895.
Moving up the trim levels, the Carnival EX now starts at $42,095, with the Hybrid EX priced at $44,095. The SX trim adds even more features like LED fog lights, power outlets, and dual sunroofs for $46,995, with the Hybrid SX priced at $48,995. At the top of the range is the SX Prestige, starting at $51,995 for the standard model and $53,995 for the hybrid version.
Comparing the Carnival to other minivans on the market, the base price remains lower than that of the Toyota Sienna, but the Sienna offers a 245-hp hybrid powertrain starting at $39,080, which is cheaper than the Carnival Hybrid. The Honda Odyssey, on the other hand, does not offer a hybrid model, while the Chrysler Pacifica is the only minivan with an optional plug-in-hybrid powertrain, priced over $50,000.
