Mercedes-Benz is set to introduce a new affordable option to its 2025 E-Class lineup with the addition of a rear-wheel-drive E350 variant. This new model will join the all-wheel-drive E350 4Matic and E450 4Matic versions, providing mid-size luxury-sedan buyers in the sunbelt with a more budget-friendly option.

While Mercedes has not yet confirmed the final pricing for the E350 RWD, it is expected to have a base price of around $63,500. This makes it a more cost-effective choice for those who do not require all-wheel drive compared to the E350 4Matic, which served as the base version for the W214-generation’s first model year.

The E350 RWD will be powered by a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower. In comparison, the E450’s turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine generates 375 horsepower and will only be available with 4Matic all-wheel drive for the 2025 model year. Both engines will feature a 48-volt hybrid system, and the RWD version is expected to have similar performance specs to the AWD model, with the added benefit of a lighter curb weight and potentially better EPA fuel-economy ratings.

As Mercedes continues to unveil its 2025 lineup for the U.S., more information on the E-Class is expected to be released in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting addition to the Mercedes-Benz family!
