Toyota has announced the official price increase for the 2025 GR Corolla lineup, and it comes with some notable changes. The Core and Premium grades are now more expensive compared to last year, with a new Premium Plus trim introduced as the range-topper. Unfortunately, the Circuit Edition has been discontinued.
The base Core trim level with a six-speed manual gearbox now starts at $39,995, which is a significant increase of $2,360 from the outgoing 2024 model year. This price includes the mandatory $1,135 handling fees. If you opt for the eight-speed automatic transmission, the price goes up by an additional $2,000, bringing the total to $41,995.
Moving up to the Premium grade will cost you $42,575 for the manual, or $44,575 for the automatic. The new Premium Plus trim, priced at $46,650 for the manual and $48,650 for the automatic, offers additional features such as a forged carbon fiber roof, matte black wheels, vented hood bulge, a sub-radiator, a head-up display, and GR-branded Naub Suede seats with red stitching.
The price increase is partially justified by a bump in torque from 273 to 295 pound-feet, matching the Morizo special edition. Toyota has fine-tuned the suspension for better cornering, and the automatic model now comes with a dedicated launch control system. The front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials are now standard across the range, and the manual clutch has been updated for improved operation.
While we are still waiting to see if a spicy GRMN version is in the works for the 2025 GR Corolla, Toyota has confirmed that the new models will be available at dealerships this fall. However, if a GRMN edition is planned, it is unlikely to arrive before the 2026 model year, as these special editions are usually limited-run releases rather than permanent additions to the lineup.
Overall, the 2025 Toyota GR Corolla comes with a price increase but also offers significant upgrades in terms of performance, features, and design. Car enthusiasts and fans of the GR Corolla can expect an exciting driving experience with the latest models from Toyota.
