BMW Motorrad Austria and Vagabund Moto GmbH have joined forces to create a unique and stylish eParkourer based on the BMW CE 02. The project, known as the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND, is a combination of futuristic design and retro elements, catering to a young target group interested in urban mobility.
The collaboration was inspired by the innovative design of the BMW CE 02, which caught the attention of the Vagabund team at the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin. The project aimed to blend futuristic aesthetics with a touch of nostalgia, resulting in a concept that the team refers to as “retro-future.”
One of the standout features of the custom eParkourer is the inclusion of the “OB-4 Magic Radio” from Teenage Engineering, adding a youthful and creative element to the bike. The design also incorporates an “electric exhaust” that doubles as a stylish storage space for an umbrella. Additionally, details like the running board with skateboard grip tape emphasize the sporty and urban nature of the eParkourer.
The BMW CE 02 itself boasts impressive performance, with 15 hp and 40.6 lb-ft of torque providing a dynamic riding experience. The eParkourer can reach a top speed of 59 mph (95 km/h) and has a range of over 56 miles (90 km), making it ideal for urban adventures. Its lightweight construction and low seat height contribute to its agility and maneuverability on city streets.
The innovative design of the BMW CE 02 includes a unique transmission system that optimizes handling and stability. The synchronous motor and toothed belt configuration ensure a low center of gravity, while features like ASC and RSC enhance safety and control in various road conditions. The eParkourer also comes equipped with a reversing aid for easy maneuvering in tight spaces.
Overall, the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND collaboration represents a successful blend of cutting-edge technology, retro-inspired design, and urban functionality. The project showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of both BMW Motorrad Austria and Vagabund Moto GmbH, offering a fresh perspective on urban mobility solutions for the future.
