Porsche has introduced the new all-electric Macan, offering customers a choice between the rear-wheel-drive entry-level model and the high-performance 4S variant. The rear-wheel-drive Macan focuses on efficiency and range, while the 4S model bridges the gap between the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo. Both models feature the Porsche Traction Management system for optimal power distribution.

The entry-level Macan is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and a rear-axle motor producing 250 kW (340 PS). The use of silicon carbide in the pulse inverter enhances efficiency and performance. With Launch Control, the Macan can reach up to 265 kW (360 PS) of overboost power and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The lighter weight of the rear-wheel-drive model allows for a WLTP range of up to 641 km.

On the other hand, the Macan 4S boasts a system output of 330 kW (448 PS) with a short power overboost of up to 380 kW (516 PS). The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. The Macan 4S features Porsche Active Suspension Management as standard, along with other performance-enhancing features like rear-axle steering.

Both models benefit from the second generation Macan’s aerodynamic design and 800-volt architecture, enabling fast charging capabilities of up to 270 kW. In addition, Porsche offers a new exterior color, wheel options, and an off-road design package to enhance the versatility and aesthetics of the Macan.

The electrification of the Macan also brings a new display and control system, known as the Porsche Driver Experience. This system includes digital and analogue elements such as a curved display, passenger display, head-up display, and ambient lighting with communication light. The design of the screens has been upgraded to include customizable themes and ambient lighting colors.

Customers can now order the new Macan models, with deliveries expected in the second half of the year. The combination of performance, efficiency, and advanced technology make the all-electric Macan a compelling choice in the SUV market.
