The Ferrari Testarossa, a classic supercar from the 1980s, is getting a modern update thanks to KW. The German company has introduced a new V3 coilover suspension kit specifically designed for the Testarossa. This kit includes six dampers – two for the front and four for the back – to improve cornering speeds, handling, straight-line stability, and ride comfort.

What sets this suspension kit apart is KW’s multi-valve technology, which allows the dampers to respond to high- and low-speed impacts independently. This results in superior handling and a wider operating range for the dampers. The kit starts at around $7,750, but for an additional $2,200, drivers can opt for a hydraulic lift system that raises the nose of the Testarossa by 1.77 inches with the push of a button. The nose automatically lowers once the car reaches 40 miles per hour.

The addition of the hydraulic lift system makes it easier for Testarossa owners to drive their cars anywhere without worrying about speed bumps or steep driveways. While the price may seem steep, considering the high quality and development put into the equipment, it is a reasonable investment for Ferrari enthusiasts.

Unfortunately, the V3 coilover suspension kit is currently only available for the Testarossa model, excluding owners of the 512 TR or 512 M. However, this innovative upgrade showcases the advancements in suspension technology, bringing classic cars into the 21st century with improved performance and comfort. It’s an exciting development for vintage car enthusiasts looking to enhance their driving experience with modern enhancements.

In a world where technology is constantly evolving, it’s refreshing to see classic cars like the Ferrari Testarossa being upgraded with cutting-edge features. KW’s new suspension kit is a testament to the power of modern engineering and computer technology in delivering superior performance and comfort for drivers. Who knows what other classic cars will receive modern updates in the future, bringing the best of both worlds together for automotive enthusiasts to enjoy.
