Ram Trucks has issued a recall for thousands of 2025 Ram 1500 models due to a potential issue with the stability control system. This recall affects 33,777 trucks that were built between October 13, 2023, and August 11, 2024. The problem stems from damaged front wheel bearing encoder rings, which could lead to the electronic stability control (ESC) malfunctioning.

The damaged encoder rings may cause the wheel-speed sensor to lose its signal, disabling the ESC and increasing the risk of accidents. To address this issue, Ram will be inspecting the front wheel bearing hub assembly and replacing it if necessary. The automaker has assured customers that they will be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred to fix the problem before the recall was announced.

Notifications to dealers have already begun, and owners can expect to be notified starting around December 19. It is crucial for affected truck owners to respond promptly to the recall and have their vehicles inspected to ensure their safety on the road.
