Porsche has introduced new mid-range GTS and top-dog Turbo S E-Hybrid variants to its third-generation Panamera lineup. The Turbo S E-Hybrid is particularly impressive, being the fastest and most powerful Panamera ever created, second only to the 918 Spyder in terms of combustion-engine road cars from Porsche.

The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 591 horsepower. When combined with the 187-hp electric motor integrated into the PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Turbo S delivers a total of 771 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. This makes it 81 hp and 96 lb-ft more powerful than the old Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, and even surpasses the 911 Turbo S by 131 hp and 147 lb-ft. The new Panamera falls just short of the 918 Spyder by 104 hp and 207 lb-ft.

In terms of performance, the Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph, making it 0.2 seconds quicker and 8 mph faster than its predecessor. It also set a new lap record at the Nürburgring, clocking in at 7:24.17, faster than the Carrera GT and Tesla Model S Plaid. The Turbo S comes equipped with a larger 25.9-kWh battery pack, Porsche Active Ride suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and 21-inch center-lock wheels. Optional features include a carbon-fiber aerokit and Porsche-specific Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

For those looking for a high-performance V8 without hybrid assistance, the Panamera GTS is a great option. It boasts a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 493 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. The GTS features dual-chamber two-valve air suspension, reinforced anti-roll bars, and a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. Both the Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS models are available for order now, with deliveries scheduled to begin in late Q1 of 2025.

The Panamera GTS is priced at $156,195, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid starts at $228,495. The Turbo S E-Hybrid is nearly as expensive as a Taycan Turbo GT and can easily exceed the $300,000 mark with additional customization options. Porsche enthusiasts have the opportunity to experience unmatched power and performance with these new additions to the Panamera lineup.
