Cupra has unveiled the latest version of its popular Formentor SUV, which has undergone significant upgrades for 2024. The facelifted Formentor is now available for purchase, with prices starting at £33,450, which is slightly higher than the previous model.

The new Formentor comes with a range of engine options, starting with a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine that can be paired with a manual gearbox, a mild-hybrid eTSI system, or an automatic transmission. For those looking for more power and efficiency, Cupra offers a plug-in hybrid powertrain that includes a 1.5-litre TSI engine, an electric motor, and a battery capable of more than 70 miles of electric driving.

Customers can choose from different trim levels, with prices starting at £41,510 for the plug-in hybrid versions, which all produce 201bhp. Higher trim levels offer a more powerful 268bhp plug-in hybrid setup or a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with 328bhp and all-wheel drive.

In terms of features, every Formentor comes equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, a digital driver’s display, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. Higher trim models also include 19-inch wheels, a powered tailgate, and a reversing camera. The range-topping VZ3 variant comes with additional features like torque-splitting technology, six-piston brakes, bucket seats, and a premium 12-speaker sound system.

For those looking for a more exclusive option, Cupra offers a limited First Edition version of the facelifted Formentor, priced at £51,790. This model includes upgraded seats, a panoramic sunroof, and the 268bhp plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Overall, the new Cupra Formentor offers a compelling combination of style, performance, and technology, making it a competitive option in the sporty SUV segment. With its range of powertrain options and trim levels, customers can choose a Formentor that suits their preferences and driving needs.
