The 2025 GMC Terrain has been redesigned with a bold style and advanced technology, following in the footsteps of its Chevrolet Equinox cousin but with a unique GMC twist. The new design features a front end inspired by the GMC Canyon, with a higher front hood and emphasized fenders, giving it a more muscular look. An optional painted roof adds some flash, with different colors depending on the car’s exterior color. The Denali trim offers larger wheels up to 20 inches in diameter, while the lineup now consists of three trims: Elevation, AT4, and Denali.

The Elevation model will be the only one available for the 2025 model year, with the AT4 and Denali models set to follow in 2026. The AT4 features off-road capabilities like an off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, and recovery hooks, while the Denali offers a more luxurious ride with Smart Frequency Dampers and standard luxury equipment. All trims will come equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, exclusively all-wheel drive for the 2025 model.

The interior of the 2025 Terrain has also been updated with a tall portrait-oriented touchscreen, including a 15-inch center screen and an 11-inch digital cluster. It runs on Android Automotive software with Google Maps and Google Assistant, along with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. New features include a rear camera mirror, auto liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, heated wiper park zone, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, and various driver assistance features.

Although pricing details are not yet available, the 2025 Terrain is set to launch in late 2024, with the AT4 and Denali trims arriving in 2025. The 2026 model year will introduce more hybrid options and a front-wheel-drive version of the Terrain. The vehicle will be capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds with the AWD configuration, offering a mix of performance, style, and technology for drivers looking for a versatile SUV option.
