Vietnamese automaker VinFast is gearing up to release its second electric SUV, the 2024 VF9, with a significant price cut and deliveries expected to begin in September. The three-row VF9 will be available in two trims, the Eco starting at $71,000 and the Plus at $75,000. Both trims come with impressive features such as a head-up display, heated driver’s seat, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen as standard.

VinFast VF9 Pricing and Trim Levels

The Eco trim of the VinFast VF9 will be priced at $71,000, marking a $10,000 reduction from the previously listed base price. This trim boasts a 330-mile range, making it an attractive option for those looking for a spacious and eco-friendly SUV. For those looking for a bit more luxury, the Plus trim is available for $75,000 and includes features such as a panoramic glass roof, vegan leather upholstery, and second-row captain’s chairs. The Plus trim also comes with 21-inch wheels, a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with ventilation, memory, and massage functions, as well as upgraded front passenger and second-row seating.

VinFast VF9 Features and Performance

All VinFast VF9 models come standard with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, head-up display, heated driver’s seat, and a 13-speaker sound system. The electric SUV is powered by a 123.0-kWh battery pack that feeds two electric motors, producing a combined output of 402 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. With this powertrain, the VF9 can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in just 6.6 seconds. Additionally, the VF9 can charge from 10 to 70 percent in 35 minutes on a DC fast-charger, making it convenient for drivers on the go.

VinFast VF9 Delivery and Competition

VinFast has announced that deliveries of the VF9 are set to begin in September, with initial sales for the 2024 model year. Despite the delays, the VF9 has been highly anticipated since its reveal back in 2021 as the VF e36. The electric SUV has already been spotted testing on U.S. roads for over a year and deliveries have already commenced in VinFast’s home country. The VF9 will compete with other three-row electric SUVs such as the Kia EV9 and the Rivian R1S, which are priced higher than the VF9.

With its competitive pricing, impressive range, and luxurious features, the VinFast VF9 is poised to make a splash in the electric SUV market. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, VinFast’s latest offering provides a compelling option for environmentally conscious consumers looking for a stylish and high-performing SUV. Stay tuned for more updates on the 2024 VinFast VF9 as deliveries are expected to begin soon.
