BMW owes much of its success to its lineup of SUVs, which has helped the company become the leading premium automaker globally. The X5, BMW’s original SUV, is now celebrating its 25th anniversary with the release of the Silver Anniversary Edition. This special 2025 X5 model comes with unique features like Individual paint in Lime Rock Grey and a special anniversary badge on the tailgate.

While BMW hasn’t delved into producing a true off-roader yet, the X5 Silver Anniversary Edition is equipped with the xOffroad Package, which includes two-axle air suspension, a mechanical rear differential lock, and enhanced underbody protection. The package also offers four new driving modes – xSnow, xSand, xGravel, and xRocks – each tailored for specific terrain conditions. Additionally, the vehicle comes with an xOffroad camera and display that provides real-time information on the terrain surroundings, making off-road driving more accessible.

For those looking to take their X5 Silver Anniversary Edition off-road, optional all-terrain tires are available. These tires, along with the 20-inch two-tone wheels from the M Sport Package, enhance the vehicle’s off-road capabilities. The interior of the X5 features carbon fiber trim from the X5 M60i and X5 M Competition, along with a choice of four different seat colors.

Priced at $81,075, the X5 Silver Anniversary Edition offers a premium driving experience and comes equipped with a roof rack, trailer hitch, all-weather floor mats, and a luggage compartment mat. BMW plans to produce around 1,000 units of this special edition for the US market, giving customers a chance to own a piece of BMW’s SUV legacy.
