ChargePoint recently announced a range of updates and additions to its be.ENERGISED platform, which is a top European software solution for managing charging networks and e-mobility services on a large scale. The platform now supports over 900 models of charging stations from more than 100 manufacturers.
One of the key new features is the introduction of the first payment terminal that meets the new OCPI v2.2.1 Direct Payment Module industry standards and complies with the AFIR (Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation). This allows eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) to use the roaming network to provide their drivers with access to over 750,000 stations across Europe.
Another update is the availability of the CP6000 on the be.ENERGISED platform, which is ChargePoint’s most flexible and serviceable global AC EV charging solution. This charger is designed to be scalable, flexible, and reliable, offering charging for 1 or 3 phase power at an adaptable output of 3.7 to 22kw per port.
The be.ENERGISED platform also offers consolidated services for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and eMSPs, including VAT handling, automated invoicing, and streamlining financial operations for multinational charging providers. With over 85,000 charging ports and 30 million charging sessions per month, be.ENERGISED is unmatched in scale and experience in the industry.
As the EV charging landscape evolves, CPOs and eMSPs are becoming more sophisticated, relying on multiple charger makes and software integrations with partners. This shift emphasizes the need for a comprehensive and adaptable software solution like be.ENERGISED to manage these complex networks and ensure reliable charging services.
Andreas Blin, Director for Service Provision at ChargePoint, highlighted the importance of delivering innovative features to meet the changing market demands. Since acquiring be.ENERGISED three years ago, ChargePoint has continued to enhance and develop the platform to maintain market leadership and provide tailored solutions for international customers.
Overall, be.ENERGISED is positioned as a flexible and comprehensive solution that is built to meet the evolving needs of the EV charging industry, both now and in the future. With its range of new features and updates, the platform aims to support charging businesses in navigating the dynamic environment of e-mobility services.
