Spirii, a company that offers solutions for electric vehicle charging platforms, has recently announced a partnership with Audi to enhance the premium charging experience. By utilizing advanced technologies such as Plug&Charge through Spirii’s EV charging platform, this collaboration aims to streamline the charging process at Audi charging hubs.

The Plug&Charge technology enables electric vehicles to automatically authenticate and start charging once connected, thanks to a software system embedded in Audi’s electric vehicles and other Plug&Charge-enabled vehicles. This seamless interaction between the vehicle and the charger enhances convenience for users.

Initially, this collaboration will focus on Audi’s charging hubs in major German cities, where fast charging is crucial due to limited power availability in urban areas. These hubs will use power cubes with 2nd-life and solar-powered batteries, which store energy overnight to meet high-demand charging needs during the day. Moreover, Audi plans to implement flexible pricing through Spirii’s platform, offering lower rates during off-peak times to encourage charging outside of peak hours.

Tore Harritshøj, the CEO and co-founder of Spirii, expressed excitement about partnering with Audi, a company that embraces cutting-edge charging technologies like Plug&Charge. He believes that their joint efforts will not only improve the charging experience but also promote sustainable urban mobility.

Ralph Hollmig, Senior Director Premium Charging at AUDI AG, emphasized Audi’s commitment to providing premium and seamless experiences for EV drivers. By partnering with Spirii, Audi aims to set a new standard for the EV industry, offering a top-notch charging solution that aligns with their premium brand image.

The Audi charging hubs are designed to offer high-power charging services and are open to the public, regardless of the car brand. Users can access these hubs through various platforms, including the myAudi App, Spirii’s charging app (Spirii Go), navigation systems in VW Group cars, and other popular charging apps and maps in the market.

Additionally, the Audi charging hubs are part of the Selected Partners Network of Elli, an electric mobility service provider within the VW Group, further expanding the accessibility of these premium charging facilities.

Overall, the collaboration between Spirii and Audi represents a significant step towards enhancing the EV charging experience, particularly in urban areas with high demand for fast and convenient charging solutions. By leveraging advanced technologies and a customer-centric approach, both companies are poised to shape the future of electric mobility and drive sustainable practices in the automotive industry.
