Electrify Canada has exciting news for electric vehicle (EV) drivers with its network expansion into the province of Nova Scotia and further growth in Québec. This expansion includes the addition of seven new stations with over 40 individual next-generation chargers that can reach speeds of up to 350 kW.

In Québec, five new stations will be located in Greenfield Park, Mont-Tremblant, Laval, Québec City, and St-Hyacinthe, joining the existing network locations in Drummondville, Mirabel, Repentigny, Sherbrooke, St-Romuald, and Trois-Rivières. Notably, Greenfield Park and Laval will be the first stations to offer eight chargers each in the network.

With the addition of Nova Scotia, Electrify Canada now has a network presence in seven provinces. The new stations in Amherst and Bedford, close to Halifax and near the New Brunswick border, will facilitate interprovincial travel for EV drivers. These stations are part of Electrify Canada’s commitment to supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles across the country.

The collaboration with Canadian Tire has played a significant role in bringing Hyper-Fast charging to locals, commuters, and travelers in Nova Scotia and Québec. Scott Hollinshead, the program manager of OEM business development at Electrify Canada, expressed excitement about the network’s growth and the opportunity to introduce Electrify Canada to new regions.

The expansion into Nova Scotia and Québec has been made possible in part by funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) through the ZEVIP program. The partnership with Canadian Tire has enabled the establishment of new Electrify Canada locations in both provinces, with some stations already open and others set to open soon.

In addition to the recent expansion into Nova Scotia and Québec, Electrify Canada has been actively opening new charging stations in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Saskatchewan. These developments mark a significant step in creating a robust DC fast-charging network to serve EV drivers across Canada.

For customers with Plug&Charge enabled vehicles, the Electrify Canada network offers a seamless charging experience. Users can verify their vehicle’s compatibility with Plug&Charge and manage charging sessions through the Electrify Canada mobile app, which allows for contactless payment and session tracking. Alternatively, payment can be made by credit card at the charging station.

Overall, Electrify Canada’s expansion efforts are not only expanding access to charging infrastructure but also contributing to the growth of electric vehicle adoption in Canada. The addition of stations in Nova Scotia and Québec reflects the company’s commitment to providing convenient and efficient charging solutions for EV drivers nationwide.
