The Ford Mustang is staying the same for 2025, but there are some changes to the pricing and equipment. Unfortunately, if you’re looking to get a V-8 Mustang, you’ll have to shell out more money, especially for the Dark Horse model. On the bright side, EcoBoost buyers will get more equipment without any increase in price. GT buyers will see a price hike, but they will also receive some additional features. So, how much are we talking about? The base price for the 2025 Mustang GT has increased by $2,600 for both the standard and Premium trims, whether it’s a hardtop or a convertible. The cheapest model now starts at $47,055 for a GT Fastback, while the GT Premium starts at $51,575. If you want a convertible with a V-8 engine, you’ll need to pay $57,075. The prices mentioned include a $1,595 destination charge, which is the same as last year.
For the EcoBoost model, the prices remain the same as in 2024, with no changes for the EcoBoost Convertible, EcoBoost Premium, and EcoBoost Convertible Premium. However, for the GT Fastback, GT Fastback Premium, and GT Convertible Premium, there is a $2,600 increase. As for the Dark Horse model, the price has gone up by $2,645, and the Dark Horse Premium starts at $69,870, an increase of $3,645.
While the price increase might seem steep, Ford is offering some additional features for buyers. The 10-speed automatic transmission is now a no-cost option, whereas it was a $1,595 upgrade last year. For GT Fastback buyers, dual-zone climate control and leather/vinyl trimmed seats are now standard, whereas they used to be part of the 301A equipment package costing $2,000. However, if buyers want other options, they will have to pay more. The Active Exhaust with quad tips is now $1,595, a $370 increase from last year. The Brembo brakes are $300 more, and the California Special package on GT Premium now costs $2,195. There are also slight increases in equipment packages year-over-year.
In terms of the 2025 Mustang EcoBoost, the prices for the turbocharged four-cylinder model have not changed, and dual-zone climate control is now standard. The 101A Equipment package has become cheaper, priced at $2,095. However, Ford seems to have discontinued the EcoBoost High-Performance package, as it is no longer listed in the configurator.
Ford has emphasized that the 2025 Mustang continues to offer great value and variety in the market.
