Ford has listened to the feedback from its customers and has introduced a facelift for the 2025 Maverick pickup truck. One of the most exciting upgrades is the option to pair Ford’s 2.5-liter hybrid engine with all-wheel drive, providing customers with more power and versatility. This new feature is a game-changer for those looking for a compact unibody truck with enhanced capabilities.

The Maverick has been a huge success for Ford, with over 94,000 units sold last year, more than half of which were hybrids. This year, the company has already sold 77,000 Mavericks, showcasing the strong demand for this vehicle. Interestingly, many customers who purchase the Maverick are not traditional truck buyers, highlighting its appeal to a wider audience looking for a versatile and efficient vehicle.

The 2.5-liter hybrid engine in the Maverick generates 191 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, paired with an electronic CVT. With the tow package, the Maverick can tow up to 4,000 pounds and carry 1,500 pounds in the bed. The 2.0 EcoBoost engine with 238 hp and 275 lb-ft is also available, now only in all-wheel drive configuration. These powertrain options provide customers with a range of choices to suit their needs.

In terms of design, the 2025 Maverick features new styling updates such as L-shaped headlights, different bumper designs, and black trim pieces as part of the Black Package. The interior has also been upgraded with a larger 13.2-inch display, making it easier to access the vehicle’s technology features. Additionally, the Maverick now offers Level 2 automated driving features like adaptive cruise control and lane centering, enhancing safety and convenience for drivers.

The starting price for the updated Maverick is $27,890, making it the most affordable truck on the market. However, customers may encounter dealer markups depending on availability. The higher trim levels and the off-road Tremor package offer additional features and customization options for those looking for a more premium experience.

Customers can start ordering the 2025 Maverick from August 1, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2024. Ford has also introduced a new model called the Lobo, inspired by a SEMA show car, expanding the Maverick lineup with a street-performance variant. These updates and additions demonstrate Ford’s commitment to providing customers with innovative and exciting options in the compact truck segment.
