So, like, when you’re chatting with most folks about automotive video games, they’re probably gonna assume you mean racing games, right? I mean, that’s a pretty logical assumption to make. There’s only so much you can do in a game when you’re stuck behind the wheel most of the time. You’re either racing against other cars or going all Grand Theft Auto on the city. Unless, of course, you’re one of those cool cats who digs niche sim games. And hey, guess what? The world of sim games is about to get a whole lot bigger with the official launch of Car Dealer Simulator this month.

Sim games come in all sorts of flavors, man. From old-school text-based sports management games to massive city builders and lifestyle sims. You’ve probably heard of some of the more popular automotive sim games, like Euro- and American Truck Simulator. You’re not racing or causing chaos, but you’re still spending a ton of time driving around. And if you want something even more chill, there’s a Kei truck simulator called “Honcho” on the horizon. You’ve also got car customizer sims and car wash simulators, so why not try your hand at being a small-town American used-car dealer? That’s the whole vibe of Car Dealer Simulator, my friends.

In this game, you step into the shoes of a retiring dealer and work your magic to turn their business into a thriving empire. You’re the one buying, fixing, and selling the cars in your inventory. You’ll even be arranging for replacement parts and getting your hands dirty working on the cars themselves. And let me tell you, those cars look a lot like the real deal, just missing a few key details to keep things on the up and up, you know?

The key to success in this game seems to be pretty similar to selling a car in real life. You gotta snap some good pics, get those cars all cleaned up and ready to roll. Not really sure if you’ll earn bonus points for pushing undercoating, but hey, who knows? Stick with the game, and you’ll go from running a dinky single-bay dealership to owning a sweet little automotive empire. Car Dealer Simulator has already been through some pre-release testing and you can even check out a demo on Steam. But mark your calendars, folks, ‘cause the full game drops on May 29th.
