Cadillac recently unveiled two new special-edition V-series Blackwings at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition pays tribute to the 1950 race car of the same name, while the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Edition honors Cadillac’s second 1950 entrant. Both models will have limited production, with only 101 Le Monstre cars and 50 Petit Pataud models planned.

The special edition Blackwings feature exteriors finished in Magnus Metal Frost matte paint with Stormhawk Blue Carbon Fiber accents and Royal Blue brake calipers. The interior boasts Phantom Blue leather with Santorini accents and the option of Sky Cool Gray or Jet Black inserts. Special heritage-inspired sill plates and bespoke 3-D-printed shifter medallions add a unique touch to these Collector Series models.

While there are no performance modifications, the CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 engine producing 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The CT5-V Blackwing boasts a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine generating 668 horsepower, propelling the sedan from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Both models pay homage to Cadillac’s lineup in the 1950 Le Mans race, where the brand’s designers took advantage of the rules allowing entrants to rebody standard cars.

Although pricing and ordering information have not been disclosed, these special edition models are expected to be highly sought after. The CT5-V Le Monstre will have a production run of 101 units, while the CT4-V Petit Pataud will be even rarer with only 50 examples planned. These modern Cadillacs may not achieve the same level of fame as their historic namesakes, but their unique design and performance are sure to attract automotive enthusiasts.
