Ferrari has been cracking down on counterfeit products, including fake cars, clothing, eyeglasses, wristwatches, wallets, perfume, bags, shoes, belts, balls, scale models, and even scooters. In a recent campaign, the Italian company crushed over 100,000 fake clothing items, more than 91,000 counterfeit eyeglasses, nearly 61,000 fake wristwatches, and over 57,000 fake wallets. Additionally, over 30,000 bottles of perfume, 17,000+ bags, 17,000 pairs of shoes, and 13,000 belts were destroyed. Even miscellaneous items like balls, scale models, and scooters bearing the Ferrari logo were not spared. Interestingly, a fake fridge was also discovered with the Ferrari logo.

To combat counterfeiting, Ferrari launched an anti-counterfeiting reward project last year, encouraging people to report suspected fakes. Those who report will receive an “official thank you” and a “complementary Ferrari gadget.” The project has been successful, with daily reports coming in. Those in charge of verifying suspected fakes have a challenging task at hand.

Even replica cars built for a movie about Enzo Ferrari’s life were dismantled, despite being meticulously built with the help of expert restorers. The company carried out a “methodic destruction of the glass-fiber bodywork” on these cars. The fate of these realistic replicas was sealed before filming even began, as they were all dismantled once the movie was completed.

Ferrari is determined to protect its brand and reputation by eliminating counterfeit products from the market. The company’s efforts against counterfeiting extend beyond fake cars to a wide range of products bearing the Ferrari logo. By destroying thousands of counterfeit items, Ferrari is sending a strong message that it will not tolerate fake products.
