Porsche has recently opened its fourth Porsche Charging Lounge in Ingolstadt, adding to its network of fast-charging locations in Germany and Austria. This new lounge offers four DC fast-charging stations with a capacity of up to 400 kW, as well as four AC charging points with 22 kW. The existing lounges in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld, and Koblach have also increased their fast-charging capacity to 400 kW.

Located at the Porsche Centre in Ingolstadt, the lounge is easily accessible from the A9 highway, making it convenient for drivers of Porsche electric and plug-in hybrid models to charge their vehicles. The Taycan, which was recently updated, can now be charged with up to 320 kW, allowing for quick charging sessions. The all-electric Macan can also be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes.

In addition to offering high-speed charging, the Ingolstadt lounge provides a comfortable environment for drivers while they wait for their vehicles to charge. Modern facilities, a selection of drinks and snacks, as well as media and WiFi are available to ensure a pleasant experience.

Porsche’s investment in fast-charging infrastructure is part of its commitment to electrifying its product lineup. The Porsche Charging Service gives drivers access to nearly 700,000 charging points in 24 countries across Europe. This includes over 45,000 charging points with up to 150 kW and 30,000 points with even higher capacity.

Furthermore, Porsche dealerships around the world have installed over 1,500 high-performance charging points for customers. These charging points, equipped with Charge Box technology, can deliver up to 320 kW of power, even in locations with limited grid connections. This expansion of the charging infrastructure aims to make electric driving more convenient and accessible for Porsche drivers worldwide.
