Audi Sport is celebrating the end of an era with the release of the RS4 Edition 25, a special 25th-anniversary edition of the beloved RS4. This final edition of the RS4, priced at £115,880, packs a punch with 463bhp, marking a fitting end to a line of performance estates that has captured the hearts of many fans, despite facing tough competition from Mercedes-AMG and BMW M models.

While the RS4 Edition 25 pays homage to its predecessors with design elements borrowed from past models, it also boasts significant upgrades under the hood and in terms of performance. The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine has been fine-tuned to produce an additional 19bhp, bringing the total power output to an impressive 463bhp. The gearbox torque remains at 442lb ft, but the shift map has been optimized for a more aggressive shift strategy in dynamic driving modes.

Thanks to these enhancements, the RS4 Edition 25 shaves 0.4 seconds off the standard car’s 0-62mph time, clocking in at 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 186mph. The car’s performance is further enhanced by Audi’s RS sport suspension pro, featuring adjustable coilovers, stiffer front control arms, increased negative camber, and an updated Torsen Sport quattro rear differential for improved torque distribution. Carbon ceramic brakes come as standard, ensuring optimal stopping power.

For UK customers lucky enough to get their hands on one of the 50 units available, the RS4 Edition 25 comes equipped with 20-inch wheels paired with Pirelli’s P Zero Corsa tires. The distinctive matte carbon trim sets this special edition apart, while an optional Imola yellow paint pays tribute to the original 1999 model. Inside, black leather and Alcantara trim with yellow stitching create a sporty yet luxurious ambiance, complemented by Edition 25 motifs throughout the interior and exterior. Additionally, the car features reduced sound insulation and a sport exhaust system for an immersive driving experience.

With the RS4 Edition 25, Audi bids farewell to a legend in style, offering enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of automotive history. As the RS4 makes way for an RS5 hybrid model in the coming years, this special edition serves as a fitting tribute to a beloved model that has left a lasting impact on the world of performance estates.
