Hyundai has recently unveiled the updated version of the Hyundai Bayon in the UK, with prices starting at £22,480. This makes it a more affordable option compared to its competitors in the small SUV segment, such as the Peugeot 2008, Volkswagen T-Cross, and Nissan Juke.

The refreshed Hyundai Bayon sports a sharper look, featuring a light bar across the front end and a more rugged bumper. The rear bumper has also been redesigned, along with new alloy wheel designs. Inside, the vehicle now comes equipped with dual 10.25-inch displays as standard, along with additional safety features.

Buyers have the option to choose from three trim levels: Advance, Premium, and Ultimate. The entry-level models come with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ambient lighting, and a rear-view camera.

Moving up to the Premium trim, which starts at £23,880, adds larger 17-inch rims, automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, automatic wipers with rain sensor, front parking sensors, and a USB-C charging port in the rear. The Premium trim can also be customized with a black exterior styling option for an additional £500.

The Ultimate trim, priced from £25,280, offers top-of-the-line features like a premium Bose sound system, a glass sunroof, wireless charging pad, blind spot collision warning, and keyless start. All models come with standard safety features such as lane follow and lane keep assist, cruise control, intelligent speed limit, and forward collision avoidance with detection for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists.

For an additional £800, buyers can opt for the Driver Assistance Pack with Premium and Ultimate trims, which includes features like smart cruise control with stop and go functionality, blind spot collision avoidance, and an upgraded forward collision avoidance system.

The Hyundai Bayon is powered by a 99bhp turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine, similar to the Hyundai i20 supermini. This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Overall, the 2024 Hyundai Bayon offers a competitive package with a refreshed design, updated technology, and a range of trim levels to suit different preferences and budgets. With its affordable pricing and advanced features, the Bayon aims to be a strong contender in the small SUV market.
