The 2024 Porsche Panamera line-up in Australia has expanded to include two new models, offering customers more options than ever before. The most powerful Panamera yet, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, comes with a price tag starting at $486,100 before on-road costs. On the other hand, the sports-oriented Panamera GTS is priced at $340,600.

With the addition of these new models, Australian buyers now have a total of six Panameras to choose from. The line-up includes a V6 and V8 petrol model, a pair of V6 hybrids, and two V8 hybrids. The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid stands out as the most powerful Panamera to date, boasting a 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine that produces 441kW of power and 800Nm of torque. When combined with the 140kW electric motor, the total output reaches an impressive 575kW and 1000Nm of torque.

The performance figures of the Turbo S E-Hybrid are equally impressive, with a 0-100km/h time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h. Despite its power, the new model weighs only 2365kg, making it a lightweight powerhouse. The Turbo S E-Hybrid also offers a driving range of 92km on electric power alone, thanks to its 25.9kWh battery that can be fast-charged in just 2 hours and 42 minutes.

In terms of design, the Turbo S E-Hybrid features exclusive Turbonite paint, 21-inch ‘Turbo S’ design wheels, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes as standard. The interior is equally luxurious, with Turbonite accents throughout and a BOSE sound system included. The model also offers optional extras such as yellow or black brake callipers and the ‘Aerokit Carbon’ package for added performance enhancements.

On the other hand, the Panamera GTS is a non-hybrid version that focuses on handling and performance. Powered by a 4.0-litre petrol V8 engine producing 368kW and 660Nm of torque, the GTS accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302km/h. The GTS features a ‘SportDesign’ package, dark-tinted LED Matrix headlights, and a quad-outlet sports exhaust with dark-bronze-finished tips.

Inside, the GTS boasts Race Tex trim, 18-way adjustable sports seats, and a Sports Chrono package with stopwatch and push-to-pass function. The model is designed for driving enthusiasts who appreciate the raw power and performance of a petrol engine. However, Porsche has confirmed that the GTS will be one of the last petrol-powered Panameras, as the brand looks towards an all-electrified future by 2030.

Looking ahead, Porsche is set to introduce an updated version of the electric Porsche Taycan later in 2024. The evolution of the Panamera line-up reflects Porsche’s commitment to innovation and performance, offering customers a range of options to suit their driving preferences and lifestyle.
