The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept is being showcased at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with racing legend Jacky Ickx leading the dynamic debut on the Goodwood hillclimb. This marks the first time a Magma model is shown in action since the high-performance program officially launched in March.

Genesis announced that the GV60 Magma is set to enter production soon, making it the first Magma model to do so. Sales are expected to start in Korea in the third quarter of next year, followed by Europe in the fourth quarter. The Magma Concept is part of the Genesis Magma program, which aims to develop high-end variants of each model in the lineup to enhance aesthetics and performance.

The GV60 Magma Concept improves upon the existing Genesis GV60 EV model with enhanced battery and motor technology, as well as attention to detail in chassis, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics. The car has been widened and lowered to improve stability during sporty driving, giving it a dynamic stance and lower center of gravity. The production model of the GV60 Magma will closely resemble the concept but will include modifications to comply with regional regulations.

Genesis Magma models will feature specialized features to enhance the joy of sporty driving while ensuring comfort. They will have a wider and lower body design, exclusive chassis and suspension components for better performance, and a Magma-exclusive sound system for a rich auditory experience. The vehicles will also have a human-machine interface with a distinct graphical user interface to prioritize essential data and functions for the driver.

Each Genesis Magma vehicle will embody three key attributes: “Unspoken Dominance,” “Captivating Control,” and “Sharpened Immersion.” Unspoken Dominance refers to the dynamic energy and power exuded by the design, while Captivating Control blends accuracy and comfort in driving. Sharpened Immersion provides a multi-sensory experience with luxurious materials and exclusive Magma sounds for a delightful journey.

The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept was first unveiled at Genesis House New York in March, and it is now making its global dynamic debut at Goodwood. Alongside the GV60 Magma, other vehicles in the Genesis Magma program are also being showcased, including the Genesis G80 EV Magma Concept and the G70 Track Taxi Nordschleife.

With the launch of the Genesis Magma program, the brand is aiming to offer high-performance variants of its existing models, enhancing both aesthetics and performance for an unmatched driving experience. The GV60 Magma is set to hit the market next year, bringing a new level of excitement and innovation to the EV market.
