Audi has recently unveiled the facelifted 2025 RS Q8, their most powerful petrol car yet. This SUV comes with new styling and a Performance variant that boasts more power than the R8 V10 supercar. The updated RS Q8 offers two variants – the standard model and the new Performance trim, both featuring revised styling, new headlight technology, and interior tweaks.
The standard RS Q8 is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V8 engine that produces 441kW and 800Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of up to 305km/h. On the other hand, the Performance version of the RS Q8 delivers even more power, with 471kW and 850Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds.
Interestingly, the RS Q8 Performance is only 14kW less powerful than its Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT counterpart, yet it managed to set a new SUV record at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife race track with a lap time of 7min 36.698sec, beating the Porsche’s time. Both models come with eight-speed automatic transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems with mechanical centre differentials that can distribute torque efficiently.
In terms of design, the facelifted RS Q8 features a new front fascia, tweaked rear diffuser, and new colour options. Inside, buyers can choose between different RS design packages that include contrast stitching, Alcantara steering wheel, and more. The RS Q8 also offers various option packs for customization.
The 2025 Audi RS Q8 will be available for order in Europe starting at €141,900 ($AU229,000). The SUV comes with a range of options such as adaptive air suspension, active anti-roll bars, rear-wheel steering, sport differential, and carbon-ceramic brakes. The Performance variant also features a lighter exhaust system, gloss black tailpipes, and new 23-inch alloy wheels.
