BMW is marking a significant milestone with the launch of the 2025 BMW X5 Silver Anniversary Edition, celebrating 25 years of excellence in the SUV market. This limited-run special edition, based on the xDrive40i model, features exclusive BMW Individual paint, special badging, and the unique xOffroad package, setting it apart from the standard X5 models.
The exterior of the Silver Anniversary edition is finished in Lime Rock Grey BMW Individual paint, with a distinctive silver anniversary badge proudly displayed on the rear tailgate. While the special edition is rooted in the X5 xDrive40i, it incorporates design elements from both the Sport and M Sport packages. The extended Shadowline trim darkens the roof rails and kidney grille surround, while the 20-inch bi-color wheels add to the overall silver theme.
Inside, customers can choose from upholstery colors in black, cognac, coffee, or grey, with a special Silver Anniversary plaque adorning the carbon-fiber center console – a material typically reserved for BMW’s high-performance M models.
Mechanically, the Silver Anniversary edition stands out with the inclusion of the exclusive xOffroad package, a feature not available on any other BMW SUV. This off-road-oriented package utilizes air suspension on both axles, a mechanically locking rear differential, and underbody protection. Additionally, the special edition comes equipped with a roof rack, luggage-compartment mat, and all-weather floor mats.
With production limited to approximately 1000 units, the pricing for the Silver Anniversary edition will start at $81,075 when it becomes available in August. This special edition pays homage to the legacy of the BMW X5, a vehicle that has set the standard for luxury SUVs over the past 25 years.
