Honda is gearing up to release the new 2026 Passport TrailSport, a mid-size SUV designed for off-road performance. The latest teaser images showcase the vehicle being put through its paces in challenging conditions in Moab, Utah. The new model features a more rugged and boxier body compared to its predecessor, along with striking amber daytime running lights.

One of the key upgrades to the 2026 Passport TrailSport is the 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which Honda promises will deliver more power than the current 280-horsepower unit. This engine will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, a step up from the nine-speed automatic in the current model. Additionally, the new Passport TrailSport will come equipped with Honda’s torque-vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system for enhanced off-road capabilities.

Honda has put the Passport TrailSport through rigorous testing in various terrains, including rocky landscapes in Moab, sand dunes in Michigan, and forest trails in Appalachia. The company is set to unveil the 2026 Passport and Passport TrailSport later this year, with sales expected to begin in early 2025.
