Alpine is making a comeback at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with an exciting lineup that showcases its success in both road and track racing. This includes the UK debut of the Alpine A290, the brand’s first electric sports car. The A290, with 220 bhp, will be on display at the event’s 1.16-mile hill as part of the ‘First Glance’ display, giving visitors a taste of the brand’s electrified future for its road cars.

In addition to the A290, Alpine is also displaying its past, present, and future competition icons at the event. This includes the aero-optimized A110 Pikes Peak car, the Alpenglow concept which features a lightweight carbon body and envisions high-performance hydrogen-powered motoring, and the 1975 A110 Group 4 Tour de Corse rally car. The BWT Alpine F1 Team showcar, along with the 1970s twin-turbocharged V6 RS10 F1 car and the V6-powered A442B endurance racer will also be on display.

Enthusiasts can test their skills on the Alpine simulator, with an opportunity to win an Alpine experience at Thruxton for the fastest visitor. Alpine merchandise will also be available for purchase. The A110 R Le Mans, limited to only 100 examples, will also be featured in the ‘First Glance’ display, while the rest of the A110 range will participate in the manufacturer parade.

Alpine will also unveil its plans to make the A110 even more exclusive by introducing the Atelier Alpine program. This program will allow A110 customers to choose from 26 new body colors inspired by Alpine’s history, along with options for alloy wheels and brake calipers in exclusive finishes. Nic Burnside, MD of Alpine Cars UK, expressed his excitement for the event, stating that the brand is becoming more accessible and versatile than ever, with the electric A290 appealing to a wider audience and signaling a new direction for Alpine production models.
