Audi has introduced its most powerful road car ever, the RS e-tron GT Performance, with a whopping 912bhp and an updated chassis. This electric super saloon is making waves in the EV power race, pushing the boundaries of performance and speed.

The RS e-tron GT Performance boasts a dual-motor powertrain that draws from Audi’s advanced PPE platform, delivering a massive power increase from 637bhp to 912bhp in Performance spec. This puts it in a league of its own as the most powerful production car in Audi’s history. The acceleration is equally impressive, with a 0-62mph time of just 2.5 seconds, rivaling even the Bugatti Chiron.

To complement its powerhouse performance, the e-tron GT features revised powertrain components to enhance efficiency and range. The new rear motor is lighter, the battery pack has increased capacity to 97kWh, and optimized cell chemistry allows for up to 375 miles of range. Charging has also been improved, with a peak rate of 320kW and the ability to add 174 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a suitable charging station.

In terms of handling, the e-tron GT comes with two-chamber air suspension as standard, offering a balance of comfort and control. Top-spec Vorsprung models feature a fully active setup to keep the body stable and improve ride quality, similar to the Porsche Taycan. Quicker steering gearing, rear-axle steering, and newly-developed brakes enhance the e-tron GT’s agility and stopping power.

While the technical upgrades are impressive, the e-tron GT retains its sleek design with subtle refinements to the front fascia and rear valance. The RS model features a more aggressive front bumper and diffuser, along with optional carbon exterior elements and premium 21-inch alloys. Inside, drivers can enjoy new seat options, a redesigned steering wheel, and Audi’s latest MMI infotainment system.

Many of the enhancements on the e-tron GT are shared with the Porsche Taycan, as both models are based on the same platform. Pricing details for the UK market are yet to be announced, but the e-tron GT is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle segment.

With its blend of cutting-edge technology, stunning performance, and elegant design, the Audi RS e-tron GT Performance is redefining the boundaries of electric vehicles and setting a new standard for the future of automotive innovation.
