CUPRA has announced the availability of the high-performance CUPRA Born VZ for order in the UK, with a starting price of £44,625 MDP. This latest version of the fully electric model boasts an impressive all-electric system that can deliver 326PS of power and 545Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Born version yet.
One of the key features of the CUPRA Born VZ is its enhanced powertrain, which is complemented by improved chassis dynamics thanks to DCC Sport suspension. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 5.6 seconds, with a top speed limited to 124mph.
Despite its impressive performance, the CUPRA Born VZ remains efficient. The battery pack now offers 79kWh of net capacity, an increase of 2kWh, allowing the car to travel up to 372 miles on a single charge. Additionally, it can be recharged at home using an 11kW AC system or at a DC 185kW fast-charging point, with a fast charge from 10% to 80% taking just 26 minutes.
In terms of design, the CUPRA Born VZ features a sportier interior with new Enceladus Grey CUP bucket seats and a Sennheiser Premium Audio sound system. The exterior of the car boasts 20-inch Thunderstorm alloy wheels and the option of an exclusive Dark Forest paint finish.
