Aston Martin, known for its super-exclusive supercars, has recently unveiled the Valour, a limited edition coupe with only 110 units available. However, some customers, including F1 racer Fernando Alonso, desired an even more unique and powerful version of the Valour. This led to the creation of the Valiant, a more exclusive and high-performance variant of the Valour.
The Valiant shares many similarities with the Valour, such as the chassis and powertrain, which consists of a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine producing 735 horsepower paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been upgraded to adaptive versions of Multimatic’s spool-valve shocks, enhancing the overall performance of the car.
In terms of weight reduction, the Valiant has undergone significant changes to shed pounds from various components. Features such as a 3D-printed rear subframe, magnesium torque tube, lithium-ion battery, and magnesium wheels contribute to the overall weight savings of the vehicle. Additionally, the exterior of the Valiant showcases a more aggressive design with added aerodynamic elements like a front spoiler, side skirts, rear wing, rear diffuser, and fender vents.
The interior of the Valiant is equally impressive, with a focus on design and functionality. The exposed shifter mechanism in the center console, along with metal components and unique features like Recaro seats, half roll cage, and fabric door pulls, add to the overall sporty appeal of the cabin.
While the price of the Valiant has not been disclosed, it is expected to be quite high given its exclusivity and performance. Aston Martin has already secured buyers for all 38 units of the Valiant, with deliveries scheduled for the end of the year. Car enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the Valiant in action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month, where it will showcase its impressive capabilities on the track.
