Kia is really embracing the off-road lifestyle with their latest concept vehicles showcased at this year’s SEMA show. The “Advntr” concept is a modified version of the EV9 electric three-row SUV, equipped with various upgrades and camping essentials. On the other hand, the PV5 “Wkndr” concept is an off-road van based on Kia’s PBV (Purpose Beyond Vehicles) platform, described as a versatile vehicle similar to a Swiss Army Knife on wheels.
The Advntr concept features a three-inch lift, reinforced rocker panels, and custom front and rear fascias to enhance its off-road capabilities. The vehicle also comes with a custom roof rack that can accommodate standard luggage as well as rooftop tents for camping adventures. While specific details about the wheel and tire setup have not been disclosed, it is evident that they have been upgraded to improve traction on rough terrain.
Similarly, the Wkndr concept is also lifted and equipped with the same wheels and tires as the Advntr. This off-road van boasts a modular interior that maximizes space and functionality, making it ideal for camping trips. Additionally, the Wkndr incorporates solar panels and unique hydro turbine wheels to recharge the batteries multiple times. It also features an onboard compressor for inflating tires and air mattresses, adding convenience during outdoor excursions.
