The 911 Turbo, celebrating its 50th anniversary, has been given a fresh twist by Singer, a Los Angeles-based firm known for their exquisite creations. Singer has introduced three new variants to join the existing coupe model – a convertible, Targa, and a special Flatnose edition inspired by the rare 930 Turbo with pop-up headlights.

Singer’s Classic Turbo is a masterpiece of design and engineering, meticulously crafted from carbon fiber with a fully restored shell and top-of-the-line components. Under the hood, or rather in the back, lies an upgraded Mezger flat-six engine enlarged to 3.7-liters, producing a whopping 503bhp and 442lb ft of torque, making it nearly twice as powerful as the original 930. Weighing in at around 1280kg, the Classic Turbo is a lightweight powerhouse.

To handle this increased power, the chassis of the Turbo has been completely revamped with two-way R53 dampers, adjustable ABS, traction control, stability control, and 18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. Despite its advanced technology, the Turbo remains true to its roots by sending power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

Of course, such intricate engineering comes at a price, with the Classic Turbo starting at approximately £850,000, excluding taxes and the cost of a donor car. The demand for the Flatnose model has been so high that all 25 allocations have already been sold.

Customers have the option to choose from three versions of the Classic Turbo – coupe, convertible, and Targa – with extensive customization available for paint colors, trims, and interior specifications. Singer can also tailor the Turbo to suit a more spirited driving experience or a grand tourer setup based on the customer’s preferences.

In addition to the Classic Turbo, Singer has also introduced a Flatnose model, paying homage to the historic 930 Turbo design with its streamlined body and distinctive pop-up headlights. With its blend of classic styling and modern performance, the Singer Classic Turbo range offers a unique driving experience for enthusiasts looking to own a piece of Porsche history reimagined for the present day.
