Polestar recently showcased the Polestar BST concept at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, giving us a glimpse of what a high-performance version of the upcoming Polestar 6 could look like. The BST concept is based on the O2 Concept that was revealed earlier in 2022 and is set to be transformed into a production roadster named the Polestar 6 in the near future.
The Polestar BST concept features a design that is closely related to the Polestar 6 but with more aggressive styling elements such as a deeper front bumper, flared wheel arches, hood vents, and a large rear wing. The exterior is further enhanced by 22-inch forged wheels and racing-inspired decals, giving the concept a sporty and dynamic appearance.
While details about the interior and drivetrain of the Polestar BST concept are scarce, Polestar has confirmed that the roadster will be fully electric. Company CEO Thomas Ingenlath described the BST concept as a showcase of the brand’s performance capabilities and hinted that elements of the BST design could be incorporated into future Polestar models.
As for the future of the BST concept, Polestar is keeping its cards close to its chest. The production version of the Polestar 6 is expected to debut soon and will be manufactured in Chongqing, China, starting in 2026. The Polestar 6 will join the growing Polestar lineup, which already includes the Polestar 3 and the upcoming Polestar 4 and Polestar 5 models.
Overall, the Polestar BST concept represents a bold step forward for Polestar in the high-performance EV market. With its striking design and electric powertrain, the Polestar BST concept sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting future for the brand and its lineup of electric vehicles.
