Auto manufacturers don’t usually change a car’s engine power unless they are redesigning the model. However, Infiniti has decided to make a change to the QX60 for the 2025 model year. The exterior and interior styling remains the same as the 2022 model, but under the hood, there is a significant change. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine has been replaced with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the same one used in the QX50 and QX55. This new engine produces 268 horsepower, which is lower than the previous V-6 engine’s 295 hp. However, the torque has increased to 286 pound-feet, which is 16 more than before. The power still goes through a nine-speed automatic transmission, whether it’s a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive model.
Despite the slight decrease in power, Infiniti claims that fuel efficiency has improved. The front-wheel drive QX60 has an EPA rating of 22 city, 28 highway, and 24 combined mpg. The all-wheel-drive model is nearly as efficient, with a 27 mpg rating on the highway. In addition to the engine change, Infiniti has introduced a new Black Edition Package for the QX60, which includes black trim on wheels, badges, grilles, and more. All trims of the QX60 now come with a new key fob that automatically unlocks the SUV when you are close by and locks it when you walk away. The mid-level Luxe trim also now includes a Bose 17-speaker stereo as standard equipment.
The pricing for the 2025 Infiniti QX60 has increased slightly. The base model Pure now starts at $51,550, which is $550 more than the previous year. The top-end Autograph model, only available with all-wheel drive, starts at $67,500, just $50 more than the 2024 model. The 2025 QX60 will be available at dealerships in mid-July.
