A new Tesla Cybertruck owner recently faced a troubling issue with his vehicle – the rear wheels were locked, and the throttle was unresponsive. The owner, who goes by the username @bfreshwa on Twitter, shared his experience on social media after his Cybertruck crashed into a neighbor’s house. The incident occurred after only 4 hours of driving the truck.

In surveillance footage shared by the owner, the Cybertruck can be seen accelerating unexpectedly up a hill with the rear wheels completely locked. Despite the owner pressing the brake pedal to the floor, the throttle and steering remained unresponsive, leaving behind 50-foot-long skid marks. When the owner reached out to Tesla for assistance, a representative mentioned that the accelerator may not disengage when the brake is depressed due to the terrain. The issue of the back tire locking up is still under review by Tesla.

As a result of the crash, the owner was advised by Tesla to contact his insurance company to cover the costs of the damage. The exact cause of the malfunction is not yet known, but it adds to the list of problems that have plagued the Cybertruck since its launch. The slippery gas pedal issue, caused by leftover soap from assembly, was a significant problem that required a stop-sale and vehicle recall as it couldn’t be fixed with an over-the-air update.

This incident raises concerns about the safety and reliability of the Tesla Cybertruck, a vehicle that has garnered significant attention for its futuristic design and innovative features. It remains to be seen how Tesla will address this latest issue and ensure the safety of its vehicles on the road. Customers and potential buyers will be closely watching how the company handles this situation and any future problems that may arise with the Cybertruck.
