Evoluto Automobili has introduced a modernized version of the Ferrari 355, which is set to be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This unique restomod project, created in collaboration with Ian Callum, aims to offer a blend of classic style and modern performance. Only 55 units of this upgraded Ferrari will be produced, making it a rare and exclusive offering for automotive enthusiasts.

The transformation process involves taking a customer-supplied Ferrari 355 and completely stripping it down to its bare shell. The chassis is then reinforced with carbon bracing to increase torsional stiffness by 23%, providing a solid foundation for the revised suspension setup. The goal is to achieve a balance between playful handling characteristics and stability at high speeds, enhancing the driving experience for the lucky owners of these vehicles.

Under the hood, the Ferrari 355’s naturally aspirated V8 engine has been tuned to produce an impressive 414bhp, with a redline set at 8500rpm. This power boost is made possible by over 200 redesigned engine components, including a CNC ported head, solid cam lifters, and a custom inlet cam. The engine upgrades are complemented by a new engine management system and a titanium exhaust system that not only adds power but also enhances the engine’s sound.

In terms of weight reduction, Evoluto aims to achieve a figure of 1250kg, which is 100kg lighter than the standard Ferrari 355. This weight reduction is partly attributed to the carbon fiber bodywork designed by Ian Callum, which also contributes to improved aerodynamics and houses larger 19-inch wheels that cover upgraded Brembo brakes. The interior of the vehicle has also been refreshed with premium materials, leather finishes, and modern technology, including an open-gate manual shifter for the six-speed gearbox.

Due to the bespoke nature of each build, pricing details for Evoluto’s Ferrari 355 are not readily available. However, given the limited production run of just 55 units, it is expected to be in the same price range as brand new Ferrari supercars. This exclusivity, combined with the blend of classic design and modern performance enhancements, makes the Evoluto Ferrari 355 a highly desirable collector’s item for automotive enthusiasts.

In a world where digital technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in the automotive industry, the Evoluto Ferrari 355 stands out as a tribute to the analogue driving experience. With its unique combination of classic design elements and modern performance upgrades, this restomod project is sure to turn heads and capture the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world.
