The 2025 Ford Mustang is making waves in the market as the last American muscle car standing after the exit of competitors like the Chevrolet Camaro and absence of new Dodge Charger or Challenger models. Despite no major changes in design from the 2024 S650 redesign, Ford has decided to increase the prices for the 2025 model. Customers can expect to pay up to $3,645 more for the same car they purchased in 2024.

The price hike varies across different models of the 2025 Mustang. The GT Fastbacks, GT Fastback Premiums, and GT Convertible Premiums have seen a jump of $2,600, while Dark Horses now come with a $2,645 increase in price. The Dark Horse Premium has seen the biggest leap, with a $3,645 increase in base price for 2025. However, the EcoBoost Mustang prices remain the same for the upcoming year.

Although there are no significant changes in the 2025 Mustang, some standard features have been added to enhance the driving experience. The GT Fastback now comes with dual-zone climate control and leather/vinyl trimmed seats as standard, which were optional in the previous year. Additionally, the automatic transmission is now included as a no-cost upgrade from the standard manual transmission.

For Dark Horse buyers, there are no new standard equipment additions despite the price increase. The Dark Horse model now starts at $69,870, marking a $3,645 increase from the previous year. On the other hand, EcoBoost Mustang buyers can enjoy new standard dual-zone climate control without any price hike. However, the EcoBoost High-Performance package is no longer available for the 2025 model year.

If you’re considering purchasing a V8 Mustang, it might be wise to make your move sooner rather than later. Ford’s muscle car monopoly has allowed them to increase prices, and a company spokesperson confirmed that they are leveraging their position as the sole American muscle car producer. The spokesperson emphasized that the Mustang continues to offer a wide variety and great value in terms of horsepower compared to other competitors in the market.

With the inclusion of a 10-speed automatic transmission as a no-cost option and standard dual-zone climate control across all 2025 Mustang models, Ford is aiming to provide customers with a top-notch driving experience. As the automotive industry evolves, the 2025 Ford Mustang stands out as a symbol of American muscle and performance.
