Mercedes-Benz has introduced the 2025 CLE-Class, which replaces the old C- and E-class coupes and convertibles. This stylish vehicle offers a choice between two turbocharged powertrains – a 255-hp inline-four or a 375-hp inline-six. Both engines provide smooth power and decent acceleration, thanks to standard all-wheel drive. The interior of the CLE-Class is luxurious and packed with tech features, although the touch-sensitive controls can be finicky. Despite its comfortable ride, it doesn’t quite match the E-class’s air-spring comfort level.

In terms of pricing, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class is expected to start around $59,150 and go up to $72,000, depending on the trim and options chosen. The coupe version offers a more practical body style with a larger trunk compared to the convertible, which provides a wind-in-your-hair driving experience at a higher cost.

The CLE-Class comes with two powertrain options – the CLE300 with a 255-hp inline-four engine and the CLE450 with a 375-hp inline-six engine. Both models feature a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The 48-volt hybrid assist system on both engines adds extra power and torque. The CLE450 coupe accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds in testing, while the CLE300 coupe is estimated to reach 60 mph in around 5.2 seconds.

When it comes to fuel economy, the CLE300 coupe is rated at 24 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined, while the CLE450 is estimated to achieve 26 mpg combined in both coupe and convertible models. The CLE-Class offers a comfortable interior with features like standard seat heating, optional ventilation and massage, and a 17-speaker Burmester sound system. The trunk space is also generous, offering 14.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity.

The CLE-Class features a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen with the latest MBUX infotainment software. While the system offers various ways to interact, including touch-sensitive steering wheel controls, it can be confusing to use at first. Standard safety features include automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a driver-attention monitor, with additional driver-assistance features available as options.

In terms of warranty coverage, Mercedes-Benz offers a standard four-year or 50,000-mile limited warranty and powertrain warranty. However, complimentary maintenance is not included. Overall, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class offers a blend of luxury, performance, and technology in a stylish package that aims to bridge the gap between the old C- and E-class coupes and convertibles.
