Arctic Trucks recently introduced the Land Rover Defender AT35, a rugged off-road package designed to tackle extreme conditions with style. The package includes massive off-road tires, suspension upgrades, and wheel-arch flares that give the Defender 110 a mean and aggressive look.
Arctic Trucks, a cold-climate specialist based in Iceland, has been operating since 1988 and is known for re-engineering vehicles to thrive in sub-zero temperatures. The Land Rover Defender AT35 package has undergone five years of testing and development to ensure top-notch performance in harsh winter conditions.
For an additional cost of £29,995 above the starting price of £60,470, customers can have their Defender 110 (built from 2020 onwards) upgraded with winter-ready features. This includes 20-inch forged alloy wheels with 35-inch BF Goodrich tires, raised suspension, and various visual enhancements like a black grille and AT35 ‘Lava’ badging.
The package not only enhances the vehicle’s off-road capabilities but also improves its appearance with reinforced body panels, wider mudguards, and other exterior modifications. Customers can also opt for interior upgrades such as premium carpet mats and leather upholstery.
While some buyers may be drawn to the Land Rover Defender AT35 for its looks rather than functionality, Arctic Trucks has ensured that the vehicle remains drivable on sealed roads while also excelling off-road. The company has focused on both performance and aesthetics, offering options like a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, rear recovery points, and a roof-mounted LED light bar.
Arctic Trucks’ expertise in extreme climates has positioned them as a leader in the field, with previous success in regions like Russia where the Arctic Circle poses unique challenges. Although their vehicles and products are not currently available in Australia, the unveiling of the Land Rover Defender AT35 highlights their commitment to innovation and excellence in off-road engineering.
