Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina recently revealed a special edition hypercar inspired by the iconic Batman character. The Automobili Pininfarina B95 Gotham, priced at €4.9m, is a unique creation based on the 1874bhp all-electric barchetta. This special edition was unveiled at The Quail event during the 2024 Monterey Car Week.
The design of the B95 Gotham draws inspiration from the fictional alter-ego of Bruce Wayne, the wealthy and tech-savvy superhero from DC Comics. The collaboration between Pininfarina and Warner Bros. resulted in this exclusive hypercar that showcases the coachbuilder’s ability to create bespoke ‘one of one’ commissions for clients.
According to Automobili CEO Paolo Dellachà, the project originated from Warner Bros.’ interest in luxury projects linked to Bruce Wayne’s character. Initially planned as a single car, the success of the concept led to the development of three more Batman-themed cars: the Battista Gotham, the Battista Dark Knight, and the B95 Dark Knight. These unique vehicles will be tailored to private collectors’ preferences, with special Batman-themed features like a ‘Bruce Wayne’ driving mode.
The B95 Gotham serves as a showcase at The Quail, while the first customer-spec Gotham/Dark Knight car is already in production at Automobili Pininfarina’s facility in Italy. Based on the Pininfarina Battista platform, the B95 delivers a powerhouse performance with an 1874bhp electric powertrain and distinctive design elements. The hypercar’s name pays homage to Pininfarina’s 95th anniversary and coincides with Batman’s 85th anniversary in 2024.
