Renault has officially announced the pricing and specifications for the new 2022 Renault Captur small SUV. The starting price for this refreshed range is set at £21,095, which is lower than the outgoing model. This competitive price point allows the Captur to undercut many of its small SUV rivals by £3,000 to £5,000.
The facelifted Renault Captur now shares design elements with the Renault Clio, including a new front end. Both cars are built on the same platform and running gear. The interior of the updated model boasts a 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with a Google-based operating system across all models.
The range begins with the Evolution trim, which includes features like 17-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch driver’s display, wireless smartphone integration, a reversing camera, auto LED lights, and more. Moving up to the Techno trim adds 18-inch wheels, connected services with navigation through Google Maps, and Renault’s Multisense three-stage driving modes. The top-of-the-range Esprit Alpine offers premium features such as 19-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, and electrically adjustable front seats.
In terms of engine options, customers can choose between the three-cylinder turbocharged TCe 100 engine, offering 89bhp and 160Nm of torque, and the E-Tech full hybrid with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors. The E-Tech hybrid produces 143bhp and can achieve a fuel economy of 60.1mpg on the WLTP test cycle.
The 2022 Renault Captur is now available for ordering, with the first deliveries expected to start in July. This updated small SUV promises a blend of style, technology, and efficiency to appeal to a wide range of customers looking for a versatile and modern vehicle.
